Animated film from Bashkortostan wins at International Film Festival

The animated film "The Last Picture Show," directed by Rim Sharafutdinov and produced at the Bashkortostan Film Studio, was awarded a diploma for best animated film at the 17th Northern Character International Film Festival.

The festival, held in Murmansk, brought together leading filmmakers from Russia, Belarus, Norway, Sweden, and Finland.

Winning the competition program, which included creators from five countries, was significant recognition not only for the creative team but also for the entire film studio and for Bashkir animation as a whole, according to the press service of the Ministry of Culture of Bashkortostan. The jury, which included renowned filmmakers such as Nikolai Khomeriki (Russia) and Gunilla Breski (Sweden), highly praised the film's lyrical, profound storytelling. Yunir Aminev, film producer and director of the Bashkortostan Film Studio, also served on the festival's expert committee.

The film "The Last Picture Show" resonated with audiences and experts, confirming its artistic value and relevance. The film continues the traditions of the Bashkir school of animation, actively promoting the region's culture through cinema.
