Salavat Yulaev monument dismantling has been completed in Ufa

Today, the last element of the monument—the lower part of the horse—was removed from its pedestal. This was reported in the bulletin of the Bashkir Cultural Heritage Supervisory Board for the Preservation (Restoration) of the Federal Cultural Heritage Site "Salavat Yulaev Monument."

As a reminder, dismantling was carried out in the reverse order of its historical assembly. Before beginning the work, specialists carefully examined the condition of both the monument itself and its base. Specialized equipment was used to move the pieces safely.

All parts of the monument will now be transported to a specialized workshop in Ufa, and the main stage of restoration will begin soon.

The main goal of the restoration is to return the monument to its original appearance and ensure its preservation. All work is carried out in strict compliance with federal laws that protect cultural heritage sites. After restoration, both the sculpture and the pedestal mound will be restored to their original appearance. Restoration work will be completed in 2027, and the renovated monument will return to its original location in time for its 60th anniversary.

The Russian Academy of Arts is supervising the work. Oversight is being provided by the Department for State Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Western Ural Department of Rostekhnadzor, and the Supervisory Council for the Preservation of the Salavat Yulaev Monument.
