Radiy Khabirov became Russian Academy of Arts honorary member

In different years, outstanding Bashkir painters have been members of the Russian Academy of Arts; today, they include sculptor Salavat Shcherbakov and artist Rashid Khabirov.

Let us recall that the Russian Academy of Arts is participating in the restoration of the monument to Salavat Yulaev in Ufa.

"This is a great joy and a huge responsibility for us. We will involve our best specialists in the implementation of this project," said Vasily Tsereteli.

The President of the RAA thanked the leadership of the republic for their cooperation, attention to cultural life, and their integration into national processes, and announced the awarding of the title of Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts to Radiy Khabirov.

Vasily Tsereteli also presented the Academy's gold medal to sculptor Salavat Shcherbakov and architect Konstantin Donguzov for their creation of a monument to Hero of Russia Minigali Shaimuratov.
