On Saturday, June 7, the federal holiday "Sabantuy-2025" was held near the village of Enkolovo in the Vsevolozhsk district of the Leningrad Region.
On the main stage, the guests of the traditional plow festival were greeted by the first deputy chairman of the committee on interethnic relations and implementation of migration policy of St. Petersburg Alexey Silkin, the head of the committee on local self-government of the Leningrad Region Andrey Klementyev, the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Elvira Aitkulova, the plenipotentiary representative of the Republic of Bashkortostan to the President of the Russian Federation Rinat Fayzullin, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Zagidullin.
The Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, also sent congratulations to the participants of the Sabantuy. He emphasized the significance of the Sabantuy as a symbol of friendship between peoples and the importance of preserving cultural heritage.
As reported by the Ministry of Culture of Bashkiria, the guests were met at the Bashkir yurt by the folklore ensemble "Asanai" of the Gafuriysky district. The group members, dressed in colorful national costumes, performed melodies on the kurai and treated them to traditional Bashkir treats. The visitors' special attention was attracted by 22 kilograms of baursak laid out in the form of a map of Bashkortostan.
The guests were also invited to play traditional games, shoot with a conventional bow, and even dance with the artists. Fiery folk songs set the tone for the entire event. Master classes from artisans of the Gafuriysky district and generous treats of traditional cuisine from the Davlekanovsky district delighted the guests.
The Ufa song and dance ensemble "Miras" presented an extensive concert program at the festival. The famous group from Bashkortostan presented the audience not only with Bashkir melodies, songs, and dances, but also with a concert block dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Gulsum Bikbulatova, also delighted the audience with her work.
A show featuring a tightrope walker dynasty, traditional sports competitions, exciting wrestling matches on the "Kuresh" belts, as well as immersion in the conventional life of Bashkir and Tatar farmsteads with yurts and craft workshops, attracted hundreds of guests.
