Artists from Bashkiria organized creative projects, seminars, and concerts in Kazan and Moscow.
From April 23 to 27, creative events were held at the "Kalitka" poetry café of the Tatarstan Writers' Union (Kazan), the A. Gorky Literary Institute, and the Losev House on Arbat Street (Moscow). These events were organized by Azamat Khasanshin—Honored Art Worker of Bashkortostan, Candidate of Art History, composer, and conductor—and Aidar Khusainov—poet, playwright, editor-in-chief of the newspaper Istoki, and head of the Ufa Literary Association "UFLI".
The project "Ethnic Art in the Space of the Metropolis" included, in its Kazan segment, the presentation of the publication The Blue Stone of Irendyk, a collection of Bashkir folk songs, and a book of translated Tatar folk tales published in Kazan and translated by Aidar Khusainov. Discussions were also held on the role of folklore in the modern culture of Russia's national republics, along with a concert featuring works by contemporary Bashkir, Tatar, and Russian composers.
The seminar in Moscow focused on the challenges of translating from the national languages of Russia's peoples. It was attended by prominent Russian cultural figures—writers Yevgeny Popov, Boris Romanov, Mikhail Gundarin, and artist Rim Valiakhmetov. The creative program included a performance by the Moscow-based Bashkir ensemble Ak Tyrme, led by Gulsina Batyrshina. All participants unanimously emphasized the relevance and high artistic value of such initiatives and expressed hope for their continuation in other regions of the country.
