"Culture of Small Homeland" project results summed up in Bashkiria

The 2024 results were discussed at the V International Cultural Forum "ART-Kurultai," which will occur on March 13 and 14 in Ufa.

Since 2017, the Republic of Bashkortostan has participated in the federal project "Culture of Small Homeland" of the United Russia party. During the project, almost all municipalities of the republic were covered. The total funding amounted to about 800 million rubles. In the direction of "Local House of Culture" - 440.1 million rubles, in "Theaters for Children" and "Theaters of Small Towns" - 359.7 million rubles.

The Chairman of the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Cultural Workers, the Chairman of the Public Council of the party project "Culture of the Small Homeland" in the Republic of Bashkortostan, People's Artist of Bashkortostan Alexander Kuzmenko noted the timeliness of the federal party project "Culture of the Small Homeland" using rural clubs as an example. It is important to note that during the project implementation the following were purchased: more than 40 buses and cars, including two special vehicles for people with disabilities and 16 buses for touring theaters; 301 sets of sound and lighting equipment; 2880 stage costumes; 236 musical instruments; theater seats were replaced in 24 institutions; LED screens were installed in 10 institutions.

Performances created within the framework of the party project are traditionally included in the posters of all-Russian and international festivals and competitions, winning prestigious prizes and awards. For example, the play "Storm" of the Russian Drama Theater of Sterlitamak, staged thanks to the party project, recently became a nominee for the Golden Mask award in four nominations.

From March 24 to 29, a traditional theater decade will be held in Ufa, where each theater shows its best performances created within the framework of the "Culture of the Small Homeland" project. In 2024 alone, 10 new performances were staged based on works by Russian and Bashkir classics and contemporary authors. Over the years of the project's implementation, theaters have been visited by about 3.5 million people, of which 1.7 million were on tours and visiting performances. In general, the number of spectators has increased by 1.5 times. This suggests that theaters are becoming more attractive and people enjoy going to performances.
