Library from Bashkiria - in All-Russian competition shortlist

The Belokataysky district's central library has entered the All-Russian competition "Golden Shelf-2024" shortlist in the "Best Model Collection of a Public Library" nomination. The press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic reported this.

A shortlist of the All-Russian competition "Golden Shelf-2024" has been formed for model municipal libraries in two nominations: "Best model collection of a public (public) library" and "Best model collection of a children's (specialized) library."

The All-Russian competition "Golden Shelf" was held by the decision of the Russian National Library, the Russian State Library, and the Russian State Children's Library, with the support of the section for the formation of library collections and the section of children's libraries within the framework of the national project "Culture."

This season, new-generation libraries opened in 2023 and participated in the competition. 89 applications were received, including from 68 public and 21 children's libraries from 46 regions of Russia.

The competition winners will be announced at the XV All-Russian scientific and practical conference "Library Collections in the Digital Age: Traditional and Electronic Resources, Acquisition, Use," held on March 25-28, 2025.
