"Northern Amurs" premiere will take place in concert performance

On December 25, a concert performance of the opera "Northern Amurs" will take place in the Chaliapin Hall of Ufa. The author of the opera is composer Shaura Sagitova, libretto by Ilmar Almukhametov.

Northern Amurs - this is what the French called the Bashkir warriors during the Napoleonic wars for their virtuoso mastery of the bow. This page in the history of Bashkortostan - the participation of its regiments in the Patriotic War of 1812 - is dedicated to the new production. The modern national opera pays tribute to the memory of the Bashkir warriors who significantly contributed to the historical event. The opera's plot is based on moments in the life of one of the ordinary Bashkir soldiers - a noble, brave, and proud warrior of the army of the Russian Empire. He went through the Patriotic War of 1812 from beginning to end, withstood all the trials, and returned to his native land." Shara Sagitova is an Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, laureate of the State Youth Prize of the Republic of Bashkortostan, member of the Union of Composers of Russia and Bashkortostan, composer, pianist, and teacher. Shara Sagitova's repertoire is very extensive and covers works from classical composers to the present day; she regularly plays on various stages in Ufa and the republic, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Perm, Saratov, Samara as a soloist and in instrumental ensembles. The composer is a laureate and diploma winner of all Russian and international competitions of pianists and composers in France, Romania, the Czech Republic, and Germany.

The project is implemented with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and the Askar Abdrazakov Foundation for the Support and Development of Culture, Art, and Cinema.
