Ildar Abdrazakov has become the head of the Sevastopol Opera and Ballet Theater

World opera star Ildar Abdrazakov, a native of Ufa, has been appointed head of the Sevastopol State Opera and Ballet Theater. Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova announced this.

"I wish you all success and inspiration for solving new creative tasks," she posted on her Telegram channel.

Ildar Abdrazakov was born in Ufa and graduated from Ufa State Institute of Arts (class of Professor Milyausha Murtazina). In 1996, he was invited to the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater. In 1998, he made his debut on the stage of the Mariinsky Theater in the part of Figaro ("The Marriage of Figaro"), and in 2000, he was accepted into the troupe of the Mariinsky Theater. Today, he is also a soloist in the Bolshoi Theater.

In 2011, he was awarded the title of People's Artist of Bashkortostan, and in 2021, the title of Honored Artist of Russia. In 2024, Ildar Abdrazakov became a laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation. He also has two Grammy awards and is a laureate of the Golden Mask National Theater award.

Earlier, Bashinform reported that Ildar Abdrazakov became a member of the Presidential Council for Culture and Art.
