Bashkiria to host Russia Literary Flagship Forum in 2025

Bashkiria will host the Literary Flagship of Russia festival forum next year. The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Amina Shafikova, announced this on Monday at an operational meeting of the republic's government. Representatives and experts from all regions of the Russian Federation will attend the event.

“We suggested that the organizers hold this forum as part of the Kitap-Bayram book fair in May,” Amina Shafikova said.

“Congratulations, we need to prepare for Kitap-Bayram and Ayda Igrat, which we have postponed until spring,” the Head of Bashkiria instructed.

Recall that the Republic of Bashkortostan won the main prize in the Literary Flagship of Russia competition this year. The republic won the victory due to the organization and holding of the Kitap-Bayram International Book Fair, which has become a local cultural brand. The large-scale celebration included a business part, cultural, educational, and charity events, presentations, creative meetings, and much more. About 173,000 people were involved in its events this year.

The award ceremony for the winner and laureates of the 10th All-Russian competition, "The Most Reading Region," was held in Moscow. Traditionally, all 89 regions of our country took part in the competition. The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan Amina Shafikova received a commemorative figurine in the form of a bronze book-boat flying on the waves from the hands of the chairman of the jury, the president of the Russian Book Union Sergei Stepashin.
