"Embroidered Bashkortostan" Exhibition opens in Ufa

The exhibition "Embroidered Bashkortostan" opens in the National Museum on November 14. It presents maps of municipalities in our region that participated in the eponymous Republican festival of 2024.

As reported by the press service of the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the event became a continuation of the republican project "Embroidered Map of Bashkortostan," which was implemented in 2023 with a grant from the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov. The project also took part in the all-Russian festival "Embroidered Russia" in the city of Cheboksary, continuing the initiative launched throughout the country to embroider their regions and municipalities.

The Republican Center for Folk Art, with support from the Ministry of Culture and the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan, organizes the exhibition project.

The creators of the embroidered maps are participants in the "Embroidered Bashkortostan" festival—embroidery masters from all over the republic, professional artists, and representatives of creative studios, associations, teams, workshops, enterprises, educational institutions, and museums. More than 500 people were involved in working on the canvases.

The "Embroidered Bashkortostan" exhibition presents maps of districts and cities of republican significance, made using various embroidery techniques of the peoples of our region and striking in their imagination and level of execution.

Visitors to the exhibition will see unique traditional ornaments and symbols, the opportunity to touch the exceptional skill of our embroidery, and the history of the districts, "written" with a needle and thread.

The exhibition opens at 16:00.
