Book about Bashkir ballet origins presentation will be held in Ufa

On September 25, a presentation of Dmitry Efremov's book "Leningrad, Zodchego Rossi Street 2. The Cradle of Bashkir Ballet" will be held in Ufa at the theater department of the Ural State Institute of Arts.

"Professional choreographic art was created in Bashkiria on the initiative of an outstanding creator, the first professional dancer of the republic, Faizi Gaskarov. The first ballet dancers of the Bashkir Theater were the Leningrad Choreographic School graduates. The book is mainly dedicated to the first graduating class of 1941, the master selected from among many girls and boys in 1934. How Gaskarov came up with the idea of ​​creating the first national studio in the country in the famous ballet school, how the life and education of children from Bashkiria in Leningrad went, who were the teachers of the Bashkir national group, the first steps on stage - the author of the book Dmitry Efremov will tell about all this,” - explained the organizers of the presentation.

The presentation will be attended by graduates of the Academy of Russian Ballet of various years: People's Artist of the RSFSR Leonora Kuvatova, Honored Artist of the Bashkir ASSR Emma Timirgazina, Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan Nazir Bayzigitov and other famous cultural figures.
