Since August 28, the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan will host an exhibition of works by a unique master, artist-engraver Vladimir Nuzhdin, “The Light of the Kremlin Stars in Ufa. Russian History in Vladimir Nuzhdin’s Engravings and Miniatures.”
Kkk reported in the museum’s press service that one of the main areas of Vladimir Nuzhdin’s work is a counter-relief engraving on stone with subsequent casting in metal, the oldest art movement in the history of world culture.
The artist-engraver's work includes military themes, beautiful works based on Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s “The Little Prince,” portraits of great statesmen of Russia and Europe, and works based on Russian folk tales.
Vladimir Nuzhdin's works are in the collections and main exhibitions of many museums in Russia and around the world: the State Hermitage, the State Museum-Reserve "Tsarskoye Selo," the State Memorial Museum of A. V. Suvorov, the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of Russia, the National Dresden Gallery, the National Museum of Plassenburg, the Prado Museum, the Museum of National Instruments of Scotland in Edinburgh and others.
The master carried out orders for the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of Russia, the Russian Geographical Society, the State Memorial Museum of A. V. Suvorov, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Far Eastern Economic Forum, Roscongress, the Zenit football team, the FSB of Russia, for the international competition "Terem Crossover" and others.
"For Bashkiria, Vladimir Nuzhdin carried out orders for the medal and order of General Shaimuratov, the order of Grigory Aksakov, the medal "For Labor Valor." These republican awards can also be seen at the exhibition. The project, which presents more than 70 works by the master, will be a real gift for residents and guests of Ufa for the upcoming celebration of the capital's anniversary,” the museum's press service said.
