Brass Band Festival to be held in Ufa

In honor of Ufa's 450th anniversary, the grand opening of the All-Russian Brass Band Festival "Ufa Sounds!" will be held on August 30 in the square in front of the State Academic Russian Drama Theater of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The event will feature brass bands from Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Perm, Samara, and Nizhny Tagil. The combined choir of children's music and art schools of Ufa and a combined ballroom dance ensemble of the best creative groups in the capital will present a bright program. Also participating in the festival will be soloists of the song theater "Attraction" of the City Palace of Culture, a group of drummers and majorettes "Derzhava," and a group of drummers "Triumph."

The two-day concert program will open with a march parade.

Each group will present a solo program. The beauty of military uniforms and concert costumes, the sparkling brass of the instruments, the measured step to the sounds of ceremonial marches - all this is an integral part of a real celebration of brass music.

The event's culmination will be the performance of a large combined orchestra. More than 400 musicians from all over the country will perform famous works of Bashkir composers and the legendary march "Farewell of Slavyanka."

All residents and guests of the capital are expected on the square in front of the State Academic Russian Drama Theater of the Republic of Bashkortostan on August 30 at 18:00 and August 31 at 14:00.
