World stars perform at "Romantika Oseni" music festival in Ufa

The "Romantika Oseni" music festival has started in Ufa. On the first day of the festival, August 22, world stars — pianist Denis Matsuev and opera singers Ildar and Askar Abdrazakov — performed on Sovetskaya Square together with the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Bashkortostan.

In honor of the Day of the State Flag of Russia, which coincided with the festival's opening, the concert began with the Solemn Coronation March—one of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's most patriotic works.

In the first part, pianist Denis Matsuev performed the First Piano Concerto by Pyotr Tchaikovsky with the State Orchestra, the unofficial Russian anthem. He was played at the Olympics in Tokyo and Beijing. It is symbolic that the music that inspired our athletes to victory was played on Sovetskaya Square on the Day of the State Flag of Russia.

In the second part, Bashkir opera singer Askar Abdrazakov performed Gremin's aria from Tchaikovsky's opera "Eugene Onegin" and other arias for bass from operas by Russian composers.

The star of the world opera stage, Ildar Abdrazakov performed Escamillo's couplets from Bizet's opera "Carmen," Russian folk songs "Hey, Uhnem" and "Along Piterskaya," and other opera hits for the Ufa audience. The Abdrazakov brothers sang the famous Russian romance "Dark Eyes."

In the third part, the State Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan, conducted by Dmitry Kryukov, performed Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4.

The festival will continue for two more evenings. Today, August 23, the State Orchestra will accompany the brilliant opera singer from Tashkent, Zhenisbek Piyazov, who came with a team of beautiful voices from Uzbekistan. Clarinetist Artur Naziullin will also perform at the concert. On August 24, the Evgeny Svetlanov State Symphony Orchestra of Russia, under the direction of Dmitry Kryukov, will close the "Romantika Oseni" (Autumn Romance) concert. This is not the first time the renowned ensemble has performed in Ufa, but it is the first time in an open-air venue.
