Bolshoi Theater of Russia will tour in Ufa

On June 12-14, the Bolshoi Theater of Russia will host a tour in Ufa dedicated to the 450th anniversary of the republic's capital. Two evenings will be held on the stage of the Bashkir State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater—a gala concert of opera soloists and a gala concert of ballet soloists accompanied by the orchestra of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia conducted by Alexei Bogorad.

On June 12, the Bolshoi Theater will present masterpieces of Russian and world vocal art performed by a brilliant ensemble of soloists from the opera troupe. Among them are both long-loved by the public and rising stars: Anna Nechaeva, Agunda Kulaeva, Elchin Azizov, Oleg Dolgov, Anna Shapovalova, Guzel Sharipova, Alina Chertash and others. Heroes of operas and song lyrics by Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Glinka, Borodin, Verdi, Rossini, Donizetti, Bizet, Leoncavallo will come to life on stage.

The Gala Concert of Ballet Soloists, which will take place on June 14, will provide an opportunity to get to know the Bolshoi Ballet Company better, showcasing the diversity of its repertoire. The program combines masterpieces of ancient and Soviet choreography. It contains such masterpieces as the pas de deux from Marius Petipa’s ballets “Swan Lake” and “Sleeping Beauty”, a fragment of “Coppelia” in the version of Sergei Vikharev, performed only at the Bolshoi Theater, which became the hallmark of the theater company in the 20th century “Romeo and Juliet” in the version by Leonid Lavrovsky and “Flames of Paris” by Vasily Vainonen.

The current concert will also include a fragment from “Spartacus” by Yuri Grigorovich, a choreographer who, for half a century, determined the face of the Bolshoi Ballet. The evening ends with a pas de deux from Don Quixote, another performance born about 150 years ago in Moscow and embodies the Moscow ballet style - courageous, bravura, blurring the boundaries between the stage and the audience.

Outstanding masters whose names the whole world knows will perform in Ufa: Ekaterina Krysanova, Vladislav Lantratov, Artemy Belyakov, and Mikhail Lobukhin. Together with them, Alena Kovaleva, Eva Sergeenkova, Margarita Shreiner, Olga Marchenkova, Daria Khokhlova, Dmitry Smilevsky, Alexey Putintsev, Daniil Potaptsev, Klim Efimov, who have already established a leading position in the Bolshoi ballet troupe, and who have recently joined it, will appear on stage young talented artists - Arina Denisova, Ulyana Moksheva, Maria Koshkareva, and Dmitry Vyskubenko.
