The outstanding Russian pianist Denis Matsuev brought incredible young musicians to Ufa. They performed with the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic under the baton of chief conductor Dmitry Kryukov. The opening concert of the festival was stunning in terms of the beauty of the music and the energy emanating from young, hot hearts.
Before his masterly performance, Denis Matsuev called his relationship with Ufa a romance and compared the State Orchestra of Bashkortostan to a comet.
Denis Matsuev recalled that this year is going very well for the State Orchestra of Bashkiria.
The artist presented the Ufa public with a performance of Sergei Prokofiev’s most virtuosic piano concerto, No. 2 in G minor.
The musician noted many young audiences and faces in the hall, which pleased him as a person with an educational mission.
The musician promised that he would come to celebrate the 450th anniversary of Ufa in August.
On the opening day of the festival, brilliant young soloists performed on the stage of the Bashkortostan State Concert Hall: George Harliono (piano), Stefania Pospehina (violin), Maria Zaitseva (cello), and Sofia Wieland (flute), laureates of the International Tchaikovsky Competition.
On the second day of the festival in Ufa, Borislav Strulev (cello), Ravil Islyamov (violin), Sofya Sakhnova, and Antonina Luzko (piano duet), Elisha Mysin (piano) will perform with the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic.
