Salavat Yulaev Monument will be restored in Ufa

In Ufa, Salavat Kulbakhtin, head of the Department for State Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites of the Republic of Bashkortostan, said that in 2024, work will be carried out to preserve the federal cultural heritage site “Monument to Salavat Yulaev.” According to him, the monument and the mound (the main foundation) will be restored.

Let us recall that during a meeting with representatives of the World Kurultai of Bashkirs, the Head of the Republic stated that work would begin at the end of 2024. The monument will have to be dismantled, and reconstruction will take more than one year.

Andrey Nazarov emphasized that all work carried out concerning historical objects by the owners and users of the objects must be legal and carried out in strict compliance with the requirements of the law. The Prime Minister instructed the Department for state protection of cultural heritage sites to significantly speed up the process of approving the boundaries of territories of cultural heritage sites of federal significance.

The results of work to preserve cultural heritage sites of federal significance were considered at a meeting of the government of the Republic of Bashkortostan chaired by Prime Minister Andrey Nazarov.

The head of the Department for State Protection of Cultural Heritage Objects of the Republic of Bashkortostan reported on the work on the preservation and state protection of cultural heritage sites of federal significance.

The head of the Department explained that extensive activities include an annual inspection and photographic recording of monuments' condition, as well as the preparation of technical condition reports. At least 268 cultural heritage sites of federal significance are inspected annually, 21.3% of the total number of monuments with this status.
