Bashkiria Youth Theater will perform at National Theaters Festival

The National Youth Theater was among six participants in the Festival of National Theaters of Russia. The forum will be held in Elista in April and will present a picture of contemporary theatrical art from various republics of the Russian Federation, said Zulfiya Ishberdina, press secretary of the theater.

On April 15, a team from Bashkortostan will play the inquiry in one act, “The Captain’s Daughter”. The play, based on the work of the same name by Alexander Pushkin and staged by Vladimir Zherebtsov, was directed by director Iskander Sakaev.

The production tells the story of the main human values - honor, authority, and integrity. The action takes place during the uprising of Emelyan Pugachev. The theme of love here is associated with the theme of betrayal. The heroes found themselves in the bloody meat grinder of the century but managed to preserve their lives and dignity.

In addition to the Ufa residents, in the open part of the festival program, the Moscow Musical and Drama Gypsy Theater "Romen" (Moscow), the National Drama Theater (Altai Republic, Gorno-Altaisk), Gorno-Mari Drama Theater (Republic of Mari El, Kozmodemyansk) will present their performances. , Theater for Young Spectators (Republic of Sakha-Yakutia, Yakutsk), Chuvash State Theater for Young Spectators (Republic of Chuvashia, Cheboksary), and National Drama Theater (Republic of Kalmykia, Elista).

The festival is organized by the Foundation for Promoting the Social and Cultural Development of Moscow "Capital", the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Kalmykia, the National Theater of the Republic of Kalmykia with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

The program includes screenings of performances and other festival events, including professional ones - round tables, discussions of performances with the participation of leading theater critics, directors, and theater actors, master classes, and thematic meetings.
