Story for TV show “Unknown Routes of Russia” was filmed in Bashkiria

Filming of the program “Unknown Routes of Russia” on the TV channel “Culture” took place in the Gafuriysky district of Bashkiria. The honored folk art group of the Republic, the folk ensemble “Asanay,” took part in the filming.

The folklore ensemble “Asanay” was organized in the village of Saitbaba, Gafuri district. The team actively works to preserve and promote the village and region's traditional song and ritual culture. The ensemble participates in all events, including the regional festival “Sabantuy,” and has repeatedly become a laureate of Republican and Russian competitions and festivals.

In 2023, the team won the republican holiday “Ashkasar Tandary”. Rare folk instruments, which are then played in the Asanay folk ensemble, are made by musician and winner of the “Soul of Russia” award Ilgam Baybuldin with his own hands.

During filming, the TV crew of the “Culture” channel visited beautiful and exciting corners of Bashkortostan - Iglinsky, Karmaskalinsky, Arkhangelsky, Gafuriysky, Beloretsky, Blagoveshchensky, Mishkinsky, Nurimanovsky, Salavatsky and Ishimbaysky districts.
