Regional cinema helps consolidate society - Aleshkovsky

Deputy Chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia Alexey Aleshkovsky, at a meeting between Radiy Khabirov and representatives of the film industry of Bashkiria, thanked the management team of the republic for their attention to the development of regional cinema.

“The 30th anniversary of the Union of Cinematographers of Bashkortostan is a good occasion to thank the republic's government for supporting the industry and discussing how cinema can help socio-economic development and solve current problems. One of the problems of modern cinema is the inability to find and voice stories that are in tune with the issues that concern our society. Art does not develop without a connection with social tasks. Regional cinema today should help us tell about ourselves, carry out cultural expansion, and consolidate society. This is a serious educational task of cinema,” said Alexey Aleshkovsky.
