Bashkiria’s residents starred in Russian movie “Evil City”

The filming of the Russian historical movie “Evil City” has been completed. Residents of Bashkortostan took part in the filming - actor and stuntman Robert Elkibaev, dancers, Honored Artist of Bashkortostan Ural Murtazin and People's Artist of Bashkortostan Aitugan Davletkireev.

The movie takes place in the 13th century when the Mongols attacked Russia. The central place in the plot is the defense of Kozelsk in the spring of 1238. The city's defenders held out against superior enemy forces for seven weeks. Filming began in November 2023 in the Tver region.

The movie's director is Konstantin Buslov. The leading roles in the film are played by famous Russian actors Alexey Guskov, Alexander Metelkin, Alexey Shevchenkov, Vladimir Lyubimtsev, Artem Volobuev, and Polina Chernysheva.

Work on the project is underway with the participation of the Cinema Fund. The movie “Evil City” will be released in cinemas nationwide in November - December 2024.
