Radiy Khabirov instructed to prepare for Literature Days of Bashkortostan in Kazakhstan

Radiy Khabirov instructed to prepare and hold the Literature Days of Bashkortostan in Kazakhstan. The head of the republic announced this at a meeting with writers of the republic, which took place on Friday in Ufa, in the Hall of Columns.

On October 10–12, the Days of Bashkir Literature were held in Minsk. 12 writers and cultural figures from Ufa, chief editors of literary republican publications, participated in them. They held working meetings to strengthen cultural ties between the two republics. Several round tables were held, including “Bashkir writers - defenders of the Belarusian land”, negotiations on mutual translations, joint projects, and other events. On the eve of the visit of the Bashkir delegation to Minsk, the works of Belarusian writers were published in the leading literary publications of Bashkiria.

At the National Library of Belarus, guests visited the Book Museum, took part in the filming of a documentary film about Minsk, and donated unique publications in Russian and Bashkir to the library. The main event was the evening of Belarusian and Bashkir poetry at the House of Writers in Minsk, held on the Day of the Republic of Bashkortostan, October 11. It began with the thesis: “Friendship of peoples is the friendship of literature. And vice versa, the friendship of literature contributes to the friendship of peoples.”

Chairman of the Union of Writers of Bashkortostan Aigiz Baimukhametov said an anthology of Belarusian literature in the Bashkir language and an anthology of Bashkir literature in the Belarusian language are currently being prepared. The presentation of the project is scheduled for May 2024 as part of the international fair “Kitap Bayram”.

Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that in Bashkiria, the amount of Chapter grants for writers will increase by 10 million rubles.
