Bashkortostan Writers' Union will celebrate its 90th anniversary

The Writers' Union of the Republic of Bashkortostan will celebrate the 90th anniversary of the organization in 2024 (established in 1934). At a meeting with writers of the republic, the head of Bashkortostan instructed the Ministry of Culture to think over where and how to hold the anniversary celebration. He noted that the Minister of Culture needs to contact the Writers' Union of Russia so that the event in Ufa has a federal scale.

Today, the regional public organization “Union of Writers of the Republic of Bashkortostan” consists of 294 people, of whom 50% are over 60 years old, 35% are middle-aged, and 15% are young. In the structure: a section of Bashkir prose, a section of Bashkir poetry, a section of Bashkir children's literature, a section of Bashkir drama, a section of Russian literature, and a section of Tatar literature.
