“Northern Cupids” brought award from Belarus

The Listapad International Film Festival has ended in Minsk. This event brings together filmmakers from many countries around the world. 15 animated films from 36 countries were selected for the Listapadzik program.

A separate competition program, “Listapadzik,” is allocated for children's and animated films. This year, the Bashkortostan film studio presented the full-length cartoon “Northern Cupids” (directed by Ruslan Tavabilov). The cartoon received a special jury prize, the press service of the Ministry of Culture told Bashinform News Agency.

Remember that “Northern Cupids” is the first full-length cartoon from Bashkortostan to receive federal distribution. The work was created with the support of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov. The story of several generations of valiant Bashkir warriors was voiced by the Minister of Culture of the Republic Amina Shafikova, opera star Askar Abdrazakov, and singers Aidar Galimov, Radik Yulyakshin, Nazifa Kadyrova, leader of the Via Chappa group Ilya Tavliyarov, sports commentator Azamat Muratov.

As Bashinform News Agency previously wrote, on January 29, a pre-premiere screening of a full-length animated film took place at the House of Cinema in Moscow. In May, the film was shown at its premiere in Ufa. Bashinform News Agency also reported that the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, invited viewers to watch “Northern Cupids.”
