The Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater opera will be shown on the historical stage of the Bolshoi Theatre, Bashinform News Agency reports.
The Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater tour will take place at the Bolshoi Theater of Russia on September 12. Ufa artists will present the opera "Sadko" on the historical stage of the main theater of the country.
Recall that the premiere of the play took place in November last year. This production has become the most large-scale, spectacular, and "densely populated" event of the previous season of the theater - in some scenes, about 200 artists are on the stage at the same time.
The opera conductor is the chief conductor of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Musical Theatre, People's Artist of Russia Felix Korobov. Stage director - Honored Artist of Russia Askar Abdrazakov, production designer - Honored Artist of Bashkortostan Ivan Skladchikov. Choirmaster - Honored Artist of the Republic Alexander Alekseev. Choreographer - Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation Irina Filippova. Lighting designer - Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation Irina Vtornikova.
The performance takes the audience to ancient Novgorod and the possessions of the Sea Tsar. The epic here is mixed with a fairy tale, with realistic characters - with fictional ones.
The production of "Sadko" is fundamentally different from the previous ones at the Bolshoi and Mariinsky Theaters with the ballet act "Underwater Kingdom", which was staged by the People's Artist of the USSR Margarita Drozdova.
The presentation of significant premiere performances to the Moscow audience has already become a tradition for the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theatre. The operas Faust (2019), Attila (2020), Don Quixote (2021), and Vita Nuova (2022) were performed at the Historical and New Stages of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia.
