As part of the Days of the Republic of Bashkortostan in St. Petersburg, residents and guests of the city will be able to visit a real Bashkir ethnic court, the "Land of nomads - the land of legends." For three days, from August 25 to 27, anyone can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of traditional culture and get acquainted with Bashkir's traditional crafts, life, and folklore, the press service of the Ministry of Culture told Bashinform News Agency.
The ethno-yard, located in the State Academic Chapel, will house the ancient dwelling of the nomadic Bashkirs - a felt yurt. Looking into the yurt, residents and guests of the Northern capital will be able to experience all its authentic versatility, get acquainted with the interior decoration, and learn about Bashkir traditions, customs, and rituals. Visitors will be told about the features of the yurt's decoration, its various parts' purpose, and much more. A tea ceremony will be held on the site, where those who wish can taste Bashkir traditional treats.
Guests of the holiday will enjoy exciting master classes in traditional arts and crafts. In addition, there will be an opportunity to learn how to play national instruments. Those who wish will also be able to try their hand and dexterity in traditional archery.
The program of the event is designed for both adults and children. For young visitors, Bashkir traditional games and master classes in manufacturing chest ornaments and wooden toys will be held. All participants will receive gifts with the Bashkir national flavor.
Within the framework of the event, an exhibition of the best works of the international competition of masters of the Bashkir national costume will be held, where you can get acquainted with the unique pieces of the winners of the project.
