Bashkiria and Belarus Theaters exchange performances

On the eve of the X Russia and Belarus Regions Forum, which will be held from 26 to 28 June 2023 in Ufa, Bashkortostan is increasing cooperation with the Republic of Belarus in culture.

The Bolshoi Theater of Belarus is coming to the capital of Bashkortostan, the press service of the Ministry of Culture told Bashinform News Agency. On the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater stage, the Ufa audience and guests of Ufa will be presented with the ballet "Anna Karenina".

Minsk audiences will watch performances by the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater on the stage of the Belarusian Bolshoi Theater on June 10–11. On the first day, it will be the “Scarlet Flower” ballet. On the second day, the ballet "The Legend of Love" by Arif Melikov will be presented, staged by the famous choreographer Yuri Grigorovich.

On the stage of the Belarusian Bolshoi Theater in the opera "Turandot", the audience saw two artists from the Bashkir Opera. At the conductor’s stand was already familiar to the Belarusian public, People’s Artist of Bashkortostan Artem Makarov, who conducted performances in Minsk on February 7 and 28, 2023 – the operas “La bohème” and “The Queen of Spades”, respectively. Honored Artist of Bashkortostan Ilgam Valiev also performed at the event. On 16 May, the chief maestro of the Bashkir Opera, Artem Makarov, again took up the conductor's stand of the opera “Samson and Delilah”.

Recall that within the framework of the international book fair "Kitap-bairam", Bashkir publishing house "Kitap" signed an agreement on cultural cooperation with the publishing house "Belarus". The Union of Writers of Bashkortostan signed an agreement on cooperation with the Union of Writers of Belarus.
