Book collection campaign started in Ufa in Useful Deeds Year

2023 is declared in the Republic of Bashkortostan as the Year of beneficial deeds for the small motherland. Within its framework, the centralized system of public libraries in Ufa is holding a charity event, "A good book in good hands." This was reported to Bashinform News Agency in the press service of the department for culture and art of the administration of Ufa.

“A paper book remains a relevant gift and does not lose its value even in the age of technology. Many of you have good but already read books. Give them to libraries, and they will find grateful readers and get a new life. Both citizens and collectives of institutions and organizations can participate in the action. Books are accepted new or in excellent condition,” the organizers said.

All books will be sorted by genre, age category, industry, and appearance. Part of the literature will replenish the fund of the city's libraries, and interest will go to orphanages, specialized boarding schools, hospitals, social shelters, and military units.

The organizers hope that the action "A good book in good hands" will become an opportunity for the city’s residents to do something useful for their small homeland.
