Republican Museum of Military Glory received “Musa Gareev” portrait as gift

The “Musa Gareev” portrait was donated to the Republican Museum of Military Glory on March 3. Author - Ufa artist, member of the Union of Russian Artists Roman Saifullin. The portrait was created in 2015 for the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic reports.

A portrait of twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Musa Gareev, took its place at the exhibition "Eternal Snow of Stalingrad", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Battle of Stalingrad.

Musa Gareev - attack pilot, born and raised in the Ilishevsky district. During the war years, on the legendary Il-2, he made more than 250 sorties. The homeland highly appreciated his military merits. Musa Gareev was twice awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union and military orders and medals.

Roman Saifullin is an artist and a member of the All-Russian creative public organization "Union of Russian Artists". His works are kept in the Tomsk Regional Art Museum, the National Museum of the Republic of Belarus, the Museum A.N. Mazitov (Kazan), and the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts. G. Aitiev, as well as in private collections in Russia, Turkey, India, Austria, Mongolia, Belarus, and Serbia.
