Bashkortostan State Orchestra will perform in Uzbekistan for first time

The National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan will perform in Uzbekistan for the first time. This was reported to Bashinform News Agency by the team’s general director Artur Naziullin. The orchestra is currently preparing for the trip.

The first concert will take place on March 31 in Samarkand. Under the direction of the Honored Artist of the Republic, Dmitry Kryukov, the orchestra will present works of Russian and foreign classics - the Polovtsian Dances suite by A. Borodin and the Queen of Sheba suite by O. Respighi.

In the second concerto for clarinet and orchestra, O. Navarro will be soloed by the People's Artist of the Republic, Artur Naziullin. The team will also present a national composition - the symphonic poem "Salavat" by Zagir Ismagilov.

A State Orchestra of Bashkortostan concert will be held as part of the festival dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the outstanding Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninov on April 2 in Tashkent.

The program includes Rachmaninov's masterpieces: the Gypsy Capriccio, the symphonic poem "The Island of the Dead", the cantata "Three Russian Songs" for choir and orchestra, the poem "The Bells" for soloists, choir, and orchestra.

Tours of the National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan around Tatarstan and Udmurtia are expected in April and in Moscow in May.

It should be noted that Bashkortostan is developing versatile economical and cultural cooperation with the Republic of Uzbekistan. The first direct flight to Samarkand departed from Ufa on February 17.
