Belarusian actor Viktor Vasilyev admitted at "My Way" festival that his roots from Bashkiria

The international film festival "Your Way" has ended in Ufa. The film festival's closing ceremony with the performance of the song "My Way" was opened by the chairman of the feature film jury, theater, and film actor, Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Vasiliev. And towards the end of the event, having awarded the winning films, the guest from Belarus confessed:

“I am very grateful to the Republic of Bashkortostan for having preserved the village of Zubovka in the Krasnokamsk region for so many years. My grandmother, my grandfather, and my mother were born there. And it turns out that I still have roots in Bashkortostan,” Viktor Vasiliev said.

Viktor Vasiliev was born in 1958 and studied in Sverdlovsk. He began filming in the early 1990s. In his filmography - the series "Kamenskaya-2", the films "Station", "Cadets", "Deep Current", "Major Vetrov", "Network Threat", "White Wolves", "Monogamous", "Don't Let Me Go", "Trickster", "Thin Ice", "Incorruptible" and others.

From February 9 to 15, the capital of Bashkortostan hosted the international film festival "My Way" for the first time. Russian and foreign films are presented at two popular venues in Ufa - the Rodina cinema and the Actor's House. The uniqueness of the film festival was that the audience could not only watch feature films and documentaries on topical and profound issues of our time but also discuss them with experts - authors, actors, famous figures of Russian culture, writers, and journalists.
