A new program of grant support for groups of folk art is being launched in Russia. 100 million rubles will be allocated annually for these purposes, the press service of the Russian government reports.
The work will be carried out within the framework of the state program "Development of Culture". Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the decree approving the rules for granting subsidies for these purposes.
Grants will be available to professional and amateur groups - vocal, instrumental, choreographic, or multi-genre. They can use state support funds to create new programs and conduct tours, master classes, or folklore expeditions.
The Ministry of Culture will hold the grant competition. The amount of funding will be calculated individually depending on the cost of the winning projects. It is assumed that every year from 15 to 25 teams will receive subsidies.
