Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater artistic director and chief conductor joined to Golden Mask Award jury

The Union of Theater Workers' secretariat approved the composition of the Russian National Theater Award "Golden Mask" jury on December 5.

It included representatives of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater – the artistic director and chairman of the International Vocal Competition jury, People's Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Askar Abdrazakov and Chief Conductor, People's Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, laureate of the Golden Mask Award Artem Makarov.

Artem Makarov has been working as a jury member of the country's leading theater award for several years.

The Russian national theater award and festival "Golden Mask" is a Russian public project established by the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation in 1993 on the People's Artist of the USSR Mikhail Ulyanov initiative with the participation of theater critic Vladimir Urin and playwright Vitaly Pavlov. The first award ceremony took place in 1995.

Theaters of Bashkortostan and cultural figures of the republic have repeatedly become nominees and laureates of the Golden Mask award.

Recall that the long list of festivals in 2023 included the play "RAS-SKAZY" of the Bashkir State Academic Drama Theater.
