In November, the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater will start a series of lectures "Painting in the Musical Theatre". The speaker is the chief artist of the theater, Honored Artist of Bashkortostan Ivan Skladchikov. The project is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, the theatre's press service reports.
Thematic sessions will be devoted to four performances, in which Ivan Skladchikov became the production designer, these are the Attila, Don Quixote, Sadko operas and the ballet extravaganza The Little Humpbacked Horse. Three lectures will be devoted to each production, revealing the secrets of the theatrical backstage. The meetings will take place against the backdrop of expositions made up of sketches by the costume designer, costumes of the characters, and elements of the scenery of the performances.
At the first three meetings, the audience will learn about the scenery and costumes in the Attila opera.
Entrance to the lectures will be free, by prior registration.
