Participants of conference dedicated to Marina Tsvetaeva’s 130th anniversary spoke about her museum creation in Ufa

In Ufa, the House of Merchant Chizhov hosted the 1st open republican research and practice conference "Gift and Freedom" dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Marina Tsvetaeva’s birth. The conference became a bright and significant event at the Tsvetaevsky Cultural Center of Literature and Local Lore.

The guests of honor were unanimous that the Tsvetaevsky Cultural Center of Literature and Local Lore in the capital of Bashkortostan is necessary for the preservation and promotion of the literary heritage of Marina Tsvetaeva, the greatest Russian poet, whose life was directly connected with the Bashkir region. In July 1911, Marina Tsvetaeva and her future husband Sergei Efron came from Koktebel to the Old Believer village of Usen-Ivanovskoye and, as Marina Ivanovna wrote, "this summer was one of her best adult years."

Director of the A.-Z. Validi National Library Marat Zulkarnaev congratulated the participants of the conference and read out a greeting from the Minister of Culture RB Amina Shafikova.

“In these September days, Tsvetaevsky readings are being held in all parts of Russia and the world, Tsvetaevsky bonfires are lit,” said Valentina Latypova, director of the ANO Center for Support of Cultural Initiatives. “It is wonderful that the Tsvetaevsky Cultural Center of Literature and Local Lore is being created in Ufa, which will contribute to even greater study and promotion of the cultural heritage of Marina Tsvetaeva, poets of the Silver Age and will also unite all Russian poets who were born, lived and worked in different years of the twentieth century in our region and in Ufa.”

“The Bashkir capital is becoming more interesting and attractive every year not only for Ufa townspeople and residents of the republic but also for tourists. It is gratifying that various creative spaces and museums are appearing in Ufa. However, our city desperately needs a State Literary Museum... Our idea of creating the Tsvetaevsky Cultural Center and the Marina Tsvetaeva Literary Museum in Ufa was strongly supported by colleagues from the Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve, the Pavlodar Slavic Center and the Anastasia Tsvetaeva Museum in Pavlodar, the Anastasia and Marina Tsvetaeva Museum in Pavlodar, Feodosia,” head of the established Tsvetaevsky Cultural Center of Literature and Local Lore, Gulnara Iksanova emphasized in her speech.

Chairman of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Bashkortostan Zaki Alibaev expressed his wish for close cooperation between the Union of Writers RB and the Literary and Tsvetaevsky Cultural Center.

At the end of the conference, a resolution was adopted on the need to create the Literary Museum of Marina Tsvetaeva in Ufa.
