The "Bashkir Treasury - MILLI" ethnic project from Kazan won the second grant competition of the President of Russia, held by the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. The new ethnic project "Bashkir Treasury - MILLI" is a continuation of the first grant project "People's Treasury - MILLI" and is also aimed at studying, reviving, preserving, and developing the traditions of the peoples of Tatarstan. This was reported by the press service of the House of Friendship of the Peoples of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to hold diverse public and cultural and creative events at cultural centers of Kazan and the Houses of Friendship of the Peoples of the Republic of Tatarstan: festivals, creative competitions, round tables, exhibitions, and master classes. Leaders and activists of national-cultural associations, children's and youth creative groups, members of Bashkir folklore ensembles, ethnographers, public figures, and representatives of culture and education will be involved.
Chairman of the Regional National-Cultural Autonomy of the Bashkirs of the Republic of Tatarstan, regional project coordinator Gali Khasanov expressed his confidence that the Bashkir ethnic project will become one of the positive examples of how to develop ethnic and cultural diversity and strengthen the unity of the peoples of Russia.
The project will be implemented by the Zalesny Cultural Center (Kazan) together with the Regional National Cultural Autonomy of the Bashkirs "Kurultay of Bashkirs of the Republic of Tatarstan" in the cities of Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny and Nizhnekamsk.
