Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater will open 85th season with Elena Fomina’s recital

On September 6, the official opening of the 85th creative season of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater will take place. This evening, the audience will see a grandiose Grand Gala ballet concert. The evening with Elena Fomina.

National Artist of Bashkortostan Elena Fomina is a graduate of the famous Vaganov School. During her richly creative life, she created more than three dozen diverse images: vulnerable, selfless Odette and insidious, seductive Odile in Swan Lake, imperious and adamant Mirta in Giselle, touching and gentle Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, passionate Zarema in The Fountain of Bakhchisarai, the quivering Nikiya in La Bayadère, the freedom-loving Carmen in Carmen Suite, and, of course, the mischievous, flirtatious Kitri in Don Quixote. This is not the whole list of parties embodied by the ballerina on the theater stage.

The pedagogical life of Elena Fomina is also eventful. She is a teacher-repetiteur of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theatre, as well as a teacher of classical dance at the Rudolf Nureyev Bashkir Choreographic College. Among her students are the leading soloists of the opera troupe, as well as artists from many Russian theaters.

Leading soloists of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theatre, students of Elena Fomina, will take part in the Ballet Gala Concert. Among the invitees are artists of the Mariinsky Theater Alexei Atamanov and Nail Khairnasov, Miki Nisiguti and Fidan Daminev from the Yekaterinburg Ural Ballet, soloists of the Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater - Artur Almukhametov - and the Yuri Grigorovich Krasnodar Ballet Theater - Alexei Shlykov.

The first act of Adolphe Adam's ballet Le Corsaire will be performed in the first part of the concert - for the first time, Amina Khalikova will appear on stage in the role of Medora. In the role of Birbanto (Corsair) - Nail Khairnasov. The second section will consist of classical and modern concert numbers.
