Bashkortostan joins "Library Night - 2022" All-Russian campaign

On May 28, one of the largest cultural events of the year, Library Night 2022, will take place. For the 11th time, the public libraries of Bashkortostan join the annual All-Russian action "Library Night". The theme of the campaign is “Protraditions” in 2022.

The libraries will feature presentations of book exhibitions, parties of knowledge and discoveries dedicated to the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia, intellectual quizzes, master classes and creative laboratories, contests, games, flash mobs, and karaoke. More than 1,700 offline and online events are planned.

Libraries of Ufa will present an interesting and rich program to Ufa book readers and guests of the capital in the format of a five-hour offline marathon under the general theme “Keeping and multiplying traditions”. The marathon will cover all areas of the Year of Folk Art and Intangible Cultural Heritage and will open its doors at several library venues.

The Library Center of Neftekamsk will present a special program. Guests can expect performances by creative teams of the city, folk dances and games, and interesting master classes.

An exhibition of creative works of folk masters will be held in rural libraries. in the libraries of Kiginsky, Davlekanovsky, Bakalinsky, and other districts, masterclasses "Bereginya", the creation of a protective charm doll will be held. The presentation of the exposition of decorative and applied art "Rainbow of national cultures" will take place in the Blagovarsky district. An exhibition of dishes of national cuisines "Culinary Kaleidoscope" will be arranged.

Bashkir, Tatar, Chuvash, Russian, and Mordovian folk games will also be organized. Visitors to the event will be introduced to samples of Bashkir and Russian folklore, with the traditions of the peoples of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The Central Library of the Khaibullinsky District will hold a festival of national cultures "Folk traditions live and grow stronger" as part of "Library Night".

In addition, the event will also take place online. 29 libraries from 25 municipalities posted announcements of upcoming events on the PRO.CULTURE.RF portal. The "Library Night" campaign will end with the ceremony of awarding the winners of competitions, and active participants of the project.
