On May 11 the National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan will perform in the Great Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory. P. I. Tchaikovsky. The event will be the world premiere of "Military Cantata" by David Krivitsky to the verses of Arseniy Tarkovsky. The performance is timed to coincide with the 85th anniversary of the composer's birth and is included in the closing program of the X International Arts Festival "Dedicated to Victory Day ...". The project is supported by the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov.
“The performance of the ensemble in Moscow is especially important as part of the all-Russian tour dedicated to the 30th-anniversary of the orchestra, especially since one of the priorities of the NSO RB over the past years has been participation in charitable, cultural, and educational projects, as well as in actions related to patriotic education”, Artur Naziullin, General Director of the State Orchestra said.
The National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan mastered the new score by David Krivitsky under the baton of the chief conductor, Honored Artist RB Dmitry Kryukov, who highly appreciated the innovative form and expressiveness of Krivitsky's music.
The premiere show will be an example of a creative collaboration between Bashkir and Moscow artists. Soloist of "Helikon-Opera" Dmitry Khromov, Children's choir "Pioneria", and Chamber Choir of the Moscow Conservatory will also take part in the "Military Cantata".
On May 11, the program will also feature works by Russian composers of the 20th and 21st centuries: the symphonic poem "Salavat" by Zagir Ismagilov, the fifth symphony by Sergey Prokofiev, written during the Great Patriotic War, and the symphony for choir and orchestra "Dixi" by Gia Kancheli.
