The village of Ermolaevo in the south of Bashkortostan invites guests to the III International Festival "Shawl is a Symbol of Peace on April 30.
The holiday will traditionally begin with the divine service of His Grace Bishop Nicholas of Salavat and Kumertau in St. Tikhon's Church in the village of Ermolaevo, and prayer can be attended in the central mosque.
"Folk Village" will become a national mini-ethnographic open-air museum. There will be placed courtyards in the national style, reflecting the life and culture of the Bashkir, Russian, Tatar, Chuvash, Kazakh peoples, filled with utensils and museum exhibits. The teams will show national customs, cuisine, games, entertainment. The feast of wedding ceremonies will be presented there.
For the first time, the festival will host an exhibition of Orthodox products, presented by monasteries and churches of the Salavat diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. Muslim beauties will be able to enrich their wardrobes with new scarves and hijabs.
The theatrical procession "Round Dance of Friendship of Peoples" will unite everyone and once again demonstrate the entire colorful palette of the peoples of Russia.
Professional artists and young ones - pupils of the Ermolaev Children's Art School will work at the Art Workshop site.
The festival "Shawl - a Symbol of Peace" is held with the aim of expanding interfaith relations, unity, friendship, national traditions, the development of "modest women's fashion" in the Russian Federation. It quickly gained its popularity and is supported by representatives of different nationalities and faiths.
The festival began its work in January 2022 in an online format. The organizers made many expeditions and met with bright national teams and representatives of the peoples of Russia. 413 applications from 24 regions of the Russian Federation and neighboring countries were received to participate in the festival. The project is carried out within the framework of the program for the tourism development in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
