Arina Bikulova from Ufa became scholarship holder from Russian Composers Union

The "Composer's Readings" were held at the Moscow Museum of Music from April 12 to 15. The project was curated by composers Vladimir Gorlinsky, Nikolay Popov, and Anton Tanonov.

The "Composer's Readings" is a four-day composer's laboratory, during which young authors from all over Russia hear their scores in live sound, and also receive advice from experienced mentors. The laboratory includes a concert of works by contemporary Russian composers, lectures and individual lessons with composers-curator, as well as reading sessions with the Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble.

As a result of the session, three students became holders of nominal scholarships from the Union of Composers of Russia. Among them are Arina Bikulova from Ufa, Denis Shevelev from Penza, and Rigel Vinskaya from St. Petersburg.

“Arina Bikulova is a 5th-year student of the Department of Composition. A very talented student, a laureate of all-Russian and international composition competitions, writes chamber and symphonic music, and is also engaged in electro-acoustic music, ” her teacher, associate professor at the Ufa State Institute of Arts, composer Valery Skobelkin said.
