Anniversary 25th International Jazz Festival "Pink Panther" ended in Bashkir State Philharmonic

The "Pink Panther" once again brought together bright, talented, purposeful musicians and spectators - admirers of multifaceted jazz. The festival continued the established traditions, giving participants and spectators the joy of creativity and communication.

The first day of the festival featured the jazz classics. Two Chelyabinsk bands and Moscow vocalist Karina Kozhevnikova performed. All three festival evenings the big band of the Bashkir State Philharmonic under the direction of Oleg Kasimov was the musical driver of the jazz festival.

“The Pink Panther Festival has its own history, historical name, its own core. This is the Big-band of the Bashkir State Philharmonic, an orchestra conducted by Oleg Kasimov. Oleg Kasimov determines what the festival will be like, chooses the artists who will perform in it, such is the author's festival”, Kirill Moshkov, a well-known Moscow journalist, columnist, publisher and editor-in-chief of Jazz.Ru magazine shared.

He was a host of all three festival concerts. Introducing the artists, Moshkov shared interesting details and memories. On April 3, a creative meeting took place with him devoted to the 100th anniversary of Russian jazz.

On Saturday, the Cuban multi-instrumentalist Carlos Echavarria and one of the best trombonists of Russia, composer, arranger, soloist of the Igor Butman Moscow Jazz Orchestra Sergey performed on the stage of the Bashkir State Philharmonic Society.
