Faizi Gaskarov Folk Dance Ensemble opens anniversary year of its founder in Moscow

The Faizi Gaskarov State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble opens the anniversary year dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the founder of the group, Faizi Gaskarov, with a grand concert in Moscow. The performance will take place at the Concert Hall. P. I. Tchaikovsky on February 28 as part of the Stars of National Dance subscription. 85 people leave for Moscow - dancers, orchestra musicians, leaders.

In the first part of the Moscow concert, the audience will see the classics of Bashkir choreography, staged by an outstanding choreographer. Faizi Gaskarov created about a hundred choreographic masterpieces of various genres and forms, among them: lyrical and comic dances named after Bashkir girls "Zagida", "Zarifa", "Gulnazira"; the original dance "Baik", dance legend "Seven Girls", compositions "Friendship", "Three Brothers", "Groom", "Naughty Girls", "Gift", "Northern Cupids" and many others.

In the second part, the Gaskarov Ensemble will present the program "Dances of the Peoples of the World", which was awarded the title of "Ambassador of Peace" by UNESCO and the gold medal "Five Continents" in Paris.

March 2, the team will present their art in Yoshkar-Ola, March 3 - in Naberezhnye Chelny. March 14-18, the team plans to perform in Bahrain (Saudi Arabia), March 19 - April 1 - in the cities of Turkey at the celebration of Navruz.

The Faizi Gaskarov Ensemble is a world-famous team, one of the leaders in the professional choreographic art of the country. For 82 years, the ensemble has visited more than 60 countries of the world, representing the culture and art of Bashkortostan and Russia on the world stage. The ensemble was awarded the Salavat Yulaev Republican Prize and the Badge of Honor of the State Historical and Cultural Center under the Government of the Russian Federation. The ensemble was awarded the Izvestnost Prize established by the Russian newspaper Izvestia.

Faizi Gaskarov (1912-1984) is the first professional choreographer of Bashkortostan. His creativity is the golden fund of the dance culture of Bashkortostan and Russia.
