"Epic Heritage of Eurasia Peoples" exhibition will open in Ufa

On February 21, as part of the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia, the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan opens the exhibition "Epic Heritage of the Peoples of Eurasia".

According to the press service of the Ministry of Culture, the exposition is based on objects of decorative and applied art of the Bashkir people and the peoples of Russia, publications of historical and educational value from the funds of cultural and educational institutions of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Perm Museum of Local Lore, and private collections. In their entirety and diversity, the exhibits reflect the spiritual heritage of the peoples of Russia, including the most significant and oldest epic work of Bashkir folklore - the "Ural Batyr" epos.

As supposed by the organizers of the project, the "Epic Heritage of the Peoples of Eurasia" exhibition will become a venue for various events of a museum and pedagogical nature, seminars for students, teachers of Children's Art Centers, a sesen school, leaders of folklore ensembles, as well as master classes with modern experts in folk-applied arts on popularizing the epic heritage of the peoples of Eurasia. In addition, the exhibition should become the basis for further projects in the field of studying and interpreting folk culture collected and presented in Russian museums.
