Bashkiria National Folk Instruments Orchestra received Grand Prix at MUSICA DEL MONDO

The National Orchestra of Folk Instruments of Bashkortostan won the Grand Prix of the International Competition of Folk Instrument Performers MUSICA DEL MONDO "Music of the World" in the nomination "Orchestras".

The competition was remotely held in Kazan from January 28 to February 2, 2022.

The orchestra presented the original composition "Ejen Batyr" by Evgeny Chugaev with the author's solo on the dumbyr, the Bashkir State Philharmonic press service explained.

In addition to the Grand Prix diploma, the jury of the competition presented a special diploma "Best Conductor," to the art director and chief conductor of the orchestra, Honored Artist of Bashkortostan Linar Davletbaev, and expressed gratitude for his pedagogical skills, high professionalism, and outstanding contribution to the development of culture and art.

The orchestra's soloist and composer Evgeny Chugaev was also awarded a special diploma "For the best author's work".

Kazan's international art center "Key to Success" established and organized the competition.

In addition to Russian participants, musicians and groups from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Latvia, Turkmenistan, and other republics performed in the competition.
