Exhibition dedicated to unique Burzyan bee opens in Ufa

Ufa constantly confirms its status as a city that attracts creative people, unique ideas, and unusual projects. Over the past six months, it featured such bright events as exhibitions of Moscow sculptors Vadim and Stanislav Kirillovs "From Idea to Realization", the Crimean artist Olga Fedoryuk "The Fountain of Bakhchisaray" in the Nesterov State Museum, artist Eduard Anikonov in the exhibition hall of the Crown Plaza Hotel, Nikas Safronov in the National Museum RB.

The National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan opens an unusual exhibition - "Burzyan Bee". The main character of the project is a bee, which has become a cult symbol not only of the picturesque Burzyansky district but of our entire republic. Bashkortostan is the first to host this project dedicated to our brand. It is gratifying that the Bashkir land inspires the best contemporary artists to create new projects.

The exposition presents painting, graphics, photography, and sculpture. A bee symbolizes hard work, prosperity, family, and collective happiness, and a swarm of bees is an example of that ideal society, where everyone has their place and tasks. At the same time, the Burzyan bee is unique in its properties. The bee has developed frost resistance and learned to be resilient living in the difficult conditions of Ural nature, generous not only in the sun but also in frosts.

The project's author is a well-known Russian artist, Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, holder of the Order of Honor of Russia, Master of Arts Evgenia Vasilyeva (EVA). Her works are in the collections of Pierre Cardin (France), the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Museum of Modern Art of the city of Gibellina (Italy), the Diocesan Museum of the city of Caltagirone (Italy), the Ibrahim Codry Foundation (Switzerland), as well as in private collections around the world.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on February 1. The project is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Faculty of Arts of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Research Museum of the Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg.
