Virtuoso pianist Alexey Melnikov will perform in Ufa with National Symphony Orchestra
On January 26, at the State Concert Hall "Bashkortostan," the National Symphony Orchestra RB will present season ticket No. 4 "Philharmonic Seasons. Ballets of Diaghilev. Alexey Melnikov (Moscow), the laureate of the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition, will perform with the orchestra.
The talented young pianist Alexey Melnikov is already familiar to the Ufa audience from a concert in March 2021, when he performed the second concerto by Brahms. This time he will present Sergey Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3, which is called "the most perfect of all compositions."
The program will also feature the music of Igor Stravinsky's bright and colorful ballet The Firebird, commissioned by Sergei Diaghilev for the Russian Seasons.
The concert is conducted and narrated by Dmitry Kryukov, Chief Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra RB.
The project is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation as part of the All-Russian Philharmonic Seasons program.
