XIV Festival-Competition "Bashkir Shawl-2021" will take place in Ufa

The XIV Republican Festival of Bashkir Shawl Masters will take place in Ufa. The works will be viewed and discussed by the jury at the Ural Folk Art Gallery of the RCNT on November 30.

The festival competition will be held in three nominations: "Bashkir downy shawl", "Openwork shawl" and "Woven Bashkir shawl", the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the republic reports. Masters from the districts of the republic will present their works. Traditionally, the masters will take part in the creative competition of the teams "Advertising video of the Bashkir shawl". This year it will be held online on the official VKontakte group of the Republican Center for Folk Art https://vk.com/rcntufa.

From December 2 to 4, the exhibition and sale of the Bashkir down shawl, including the works of the festival participants, will be held at the "Ufa. Art. Crafts. Souvenirs" exhibition at VDNH-EXPO. On December 4, the results will be announced, and the winners will be awarded.

The first Republican Festival of Bashkir Shawl Masters was organized by the Ministry of Culture RB and the Republican Center for Folk Art in 1992 in Ufa. The project's organizers are the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Republican Center for Folk Art, the Ural Folk Art Gallery of the RCNT.
