Igor Kostolevsky: "We have very close creative and friendly relations with Ufa"

Igor Kostolevsky said that the purpose of the regional program of the festival was to show those who love theater the whole palette of modern theater so that the audience knew what was happening on the theatrical map of Russia. He thanked the Ministry of Culture, the Presidential Grants Fund, and the friends and partners of the festival. The festival's president called Ufa a theatrical city, where spectators have seen quite a lot of performances and can perceive complex ones.

"I am delighted that for the first time, a regional project came to Ufa. We have very close creative and friendly relations. For many years, one way or another, the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater came to the attention of the Golden Mask - these were both nominees and laureates. Moreover, this year, the "Vita Nuova" performance of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater was nominated even in six categories," Igor Kostolevsky emphasized.

He noted that the Golden Mask Festival in Ufa could become traditional.

Igor Kostolevsky shared that in Ufa, he visited the Mikhail Nesterov Art Museum and highly appreciated the museum and its staff.

"The Nesterov Museum impressed me greatly. It has a soul, it has love. Furthermore, I was impressed much by the museum's guides - devotees who adore Bashkiria, their city, their museum," the actor said.
